UAE brings 32 AI advisers into Cabinet work for faster government decisions
New system will assess policies, legislation and their wider impact around the clock
ABU DHABI – The UAE Cabinet has launched a new Cabinet AI Advisor system, introducing 32 specialised artificial intelligence advisers into government work.
The system is designed to strengthen decision-making, accelerate the assessment of projects and initiatives and improve the quality of government output. It forms part of the UAE Government's wider move towards embedding agentic AI into its operating model.
The system was approved during a Cabinet meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The AI advisers will analyse subjects presented to the Cabinet, including government programmes, policies and legislation. They will assess the financial, economic, social and environmental impact of proposals, while also linking them to global best practices and the UAE's national priorities.
Around-the-clock support
The 32 AI advisers will provide recommendations based on an approved set of inputs and sources and will work alongside ministers to support the review and follow-up of government decisions.
The system is also intended to accelerate studies of initiatives and improve the continuity of Cabinet work. A separate system for issuing Cabinet decisions has also been approved within a governed framework supported by agentic AI technologies and the Cabinet AI Advisor.
The UAE Government has placed safeguards around the system, including requirements relating to confidentiality and cybersecurity standards adopted in the country.
The Cabinet's wider AI transformation programme was highlighted as one of three key messages for government teams at the meeting, with Sheikh Mohammed stressing the need for teams to participate in the strategic transformation of government services.
The development comes as federal entities expand their use of digital services and AI. During 2025, government entities completed more than 308 million digital transactions across 1,633 digital services, while government applications recorded 15.8 million downloads.
