Dubai announces 35 new parks
Dubai is set to significantly expand its green footprint with the launch of 35 new parks across the emirate this year.
Backed by an investment of Dh348 million, the initiative will add more than 340,000 square metres of public space, serving 23 residential communities.
The parks are part of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and align with broader strategies focused on sustainability and liveability. Each park will be located within a five-minute walk of nearby neighbourhoods, ensuring easy access for residents and encouraging active lifestyles.
Designed as open, unfenced spaces, the parks will integrate seamlessly into surrounding communities while reflecting local identity. Facilities will include children’s play areas, sports courts, running and cycling tracks, shaded seating and social zones, making them suitable for all age groups.
The developments will also incorporate sustainable features such as recycled irrigation water, renewable energy solutions and smart technologies to optimise resources.
