DUBAI – Dubai residents who love early morning workouts now have more reason to step outdoors. Dubai Municipality has introduced significant changes to the city’s parks, including earlier opening hours and a set of new names for several community favourites.

These initiatives aim to enhance usability for morning fitness fans and strengthen the identity of each neighbourhood.

Early hours

  • Al Lisaili Park

Jogging tracks

For those who prefer outdoor running, 18 parks across the city now feature jogging tracks accessible to the public. These tracks offer safe and scenic routes for daily exercise routines. Some of the highlighted parks include:

  • Al Sufouh Park
  • Al Barsha South Park
  • Nad Al Sheba 2 and 4 Parks
  • Blossoms Park in Nad Al Sheba
  • Al Lisaili Park
  • Al Muteena First and Second Parks
  • Al Warqa Second 1 Park
  • Nad Al Hamar Park
  • Al Garhoud 3 Park
  • Al Masjid Park in Al Twar
  • Al Twar Second, Third, and Fourth 1 Parks (formerly Al Qusais Third Park)

These jogging tracks are designed to encourage healthy lifestyles and make fitness more accessible for all residents.

Renamed parks

Dubai Municipality has also renamed four key parks to better reflect their locations and community identity:

  • Al Quoz Pond Park → Ghadeer Al Tair Pond Park
  • Al Qusais Pond Park → Al Twar Pond Park
  • Oud Al Muteena First Park → Al Muteena Fourth Park
  • Al Qusais Third Park → Al Twar Fourth 1 Park

These updates ensure that park names align with neighbourhood geography while reinforcing local identity.

Community benefits

The combined updates of early opening hours, jogging tracks, and park renaming reflect Dubai’s ongoing commitment to upgrading public spaces. Residents now have more options for morning fitness, outdoor recreation, and family activities.

Residents are encouraged to explore these parks, enjoy the jogging tracks, and familiarise themselves with the new park names as part of the city’s growing network of outdoor leisure spaces.
