UAE travel update: Emirates expands operations with 106 daily return flights
Nearly 30,000 passengers carried from Dubai in one day
DUBAI – Dubai’s flagship carrier Emirates expects to restore its full global network within the coming days as regional airspace restrictions continue to ease and operational requirements are progressively met.
In a statement issued on Friday, the airline said it is currently operating a reduced schedule following the partial reopening of regional airspace but is steadily expanding services. The carrier emphasised that safety remains the top priority while flight operations are gradually returning to normal levels.
“Safety, as ever, remains paramount as is our duty of care,” an Emirates spokesperson said, noting that the airline is closely monitoring developments across the region as it works towards restoring its entire network.
Gradual recovery
The airline reported that on Thursday it carried approximately 30,000 passengers departing from Dubai, marking a significant step in the recovery of its flight operations.
Following the partial re-opening of regional airspace, Emirates is operating a reduced flight schedule while working to restore full network operations.

By Saturday, 7 March, Emirates expects to operate 106 daily return flights to 83 destinations worldwide. This represents almost 60 percent of the airline’s global route network as services continue to scale up.
The airline said it is adjusting schedules in line with evolving airspace availability while ensuring operational requirements and safety protocols remain fully in place.
In several high-demand travel markets, Emirates has significantly expanded capacity as passenger demand remains strong.
In the United Kingdom, the airline plans to operate 11 daily flights across five airports by 7 March, underlining the robust travel demand between the UAE and the UK.
Services are also being increased across India. Emirates will operate 22 daily flights serving all nine of its Indian gateways by the same date, restoring connectivity across one of the airline’s most important travel corridors.
US routes
In the United States, Emirates currently operates flights to seven American gateways, maintaining direct connectivity between the UAE and key US destinations while broader network recovery continues.
The airline said it will continue to monitor the situation closely and adapt its operations as necessary in response to any changes affecting regional airspace.
