ABU DHABI – UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited the fifth edition of Make it in the Emirates 2026 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on Wednesday.

The event, recognised as the region’s largest industrial gathering, brought together a wide spectrum of stakeholders shaping the future of manufacturing and advanced industries. His visit underscored the UAE’s continued focus on strengthening its industrial base as a driver of economic diversification and resilience.

During the tour, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reviewed a range of innovations, products and initiatives designed to enhance the competitiveness and readiness of national industries. Exhibitors presented advancements across vital sectors, highlighting the growing integration of technology in local production processes.

Briefings delivered during the visit outlined key initiatives and projects unveiled at the event, reflecting ongoing efforts to accelerate industrial development. The UAE President emphasised that the industrial sector remains a central pillar of the national economy, supporting diversification goals and long-term sustainability. Strengthening this sector, he noted, is a strategic priority aligned with the UAE’s vision to foster innovation, attract investment in future industries, and create opportunities for Emirati talent.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also commended the scale and quality of participation, describing it as a reflection of the sector’s progress and its competitive capabilities on a global stage.

Following the tour, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. The visit was attended by several senior officials, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, alongside ministers and government representatives.

Make it in the Emirates

Hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology in collaboration with key partners, the event is organised by ADNEC Group under the theme “Advanced Industry. Emerging Stronger.” It features 1,245 companies and more than 2,000 specialised exhibitors, collectively showcasing over 5,000 products.

The programme includes more than 50 panel discussions, dialogue sessions and workshops, covering sectors such as advanced manufacturing, energy, aviation, defence, pharmaceuticals and smart mobility. Small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs account for 61 percent of participants, reflecting their growing role in the UAE’s industrial ecosystem.
