Abu Dhabi launches world’s first AI public servant at GITEX Global 2025
AutoGov to automate daily tasks from licences to healthcare appointments
DUBAI – Abu Dhabi has unveiled the world’s first AI public servant, introducing the AutoGov function within the latest version of TAMM at GITEX Global 2025, running in Dubai.
Designed to proactively manage people’s recurring needs, AutoGov represents a groundbreaking shift in public service delivery, automatically handling tasks such as licence renewals, utility payments, and healthcare appointments.
This development signals Abu Dhabi’s move towards becoming the world’s first AI-native government, showcasing the next generation of integrated, intelligent service delivery. Through AutoGov, residents can set preferences, customise automation, and trust that their services will be handled seamlessly and securely, without manual intervention.

Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, Chairman of the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE), described the new feature as “transformative,” saying it redefines government as a “partner that is intelligent, human-centred, and present at the moments that matter most.”
Smarter public services
Complementing AutoGov is the TAMM AI Assistant, which offers access to more than 1,100 public and private services on a single platform. It can complete tasks on the user’s behalf, providing smart, contextual, and proactive support that learns and adapts to each user’s lifestyle.
New tools unveiled include AI Vision and Smart Guide, which simplify complex procedures with spoken and visual cues, real-time document scanning, and error-free submissions. Meanwhile, Translator and voice-enabled navigation ensure inclusivity in both Arabic and English, allowing for hands-free interaction.

Personalised dashboards remind users of upcoming tasks and deadlines, transforming what once took hours into experiences completed within minutes. “We are moving away from one-off transactions to intelligent journeys that adapt to each person’s needs,” said Dr Mohamed Al Askar, Director-General of TAMM. “The true promise of an AI public servant is to give people back time and peace of mind.”
More human connections
Beyond automation, TAMM is also reshaping how people connect with government. The expansion of TAMM Spaces introduces new themed hubs – Family, Mobility, and Sahatna (health) – designed around everyday life milestones rather than traditional government structures. From managing medical records and school updates to planning transport and engaging with communities, these hubs align services with real-life needs.
Adding to this, TAMM Hologram will soon be deployed across the emirate. These mobile hologram pods will instantly connect residents and citizens with live government agents, delivering real-time personalised support in both English and Arabic. The feature blends the reassurance of human interaction with the speed and efficiency of AI-driven service.
Another new initiative, TAMM by You, will allow residents to propose, vote, and shape the future of government services, in alignment with Abu Dhabi’s Year of Community. The initiative places collaboration at the heart of public innovation, encouraging citizens to take part in designing how services evolve.
Expanding digital ecosystem
TAMM continues to strengthen its ecosystem, integrating over 1,100 services from more than 90 public and private partners. Recent additions include collaborations with ADX, Comera, and Wio Bank, alongside first-time integrations with the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) and SAAED. These partnerships enable end-to-end transactions to be completed directly within the app, further simplifying access to vital services.
Saeed Al Mulla, Director-General at DGE, said the vision behind these advancements is to make government “effortless, simpler, and more connected to the communities we serve.”
The unveiling of TAMM AutoGov forms a key part of the Abu Dhabi Government Digital Strategy 2025-2027, marking a pivotal step in reshaping governance through AI.
