PM Modi wraps up UAE visit after strategic talks and key bilateral agreements
Support for Indian community highlighted during regional conflict discussions
ABU DHABI – Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has concluded his visit to the United Arab Emirates after a series of high-level meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing strategic priorities between the two nations.
The UAE visit marked the first stop of Modi’s six-day overseas diplomatic tour and featured discussions spanning trade, technology, energy and regional stability. The trip also included ceremonial honours and key engagements reflecting the depth of India-UAE relations.

UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the Indian Prime Minister in the capital with an official reception ceremony. National anthems of both countries were played and a guard of honour was presented. As Modi’s aircraft entered UAE airspace, it was escorted by military aircraft in a symbolic gesture of welcome before landing in Abu Dhabi.

Key discussions
During delegation-level talks, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and PM Modi reviewed the progress of the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation across several sectors, including economy, investment, energy, food security, technology, artificial intelligence and space.

The two leaders also explored ways to strengthen long-term collaboration and examined opportunities to deepen strategic coordination in areas shaping future economic growth. The discussions reflected continued efforts by both countries to broaden the scope of their partnership beyond traditional sectors.

Regional and international developments also formed an important part of the talks. Both sides exchanged views on developments in the Middle East and discussed their implications for global peace, maritime security and energy supplies.

Modi also highlighted India’s support for peace and stability in the region and acknowledged the UAE’s efforts in ensuring the welfare and safety of Indian nationals during periods of regional tension. The issue of support extended to the Indian community during the West Asia conflict also featured in discussions.
Productive visit
Following the conclusion of his engagements, Modi described the trip as a "short but highly productive visit" and said he held extensive discussions with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on further strengthening the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

In a message shared after departing the UAE, Modi referred to the UAE President as his “brother” and expressed confidence that the outcomes of the visit would further strengthen friendship between the two nations while contributing to growth and prosperity.
The visit concluded with both sides signalling continued momentum in bilateral engagement and a shared commitment to expanding cooperation across strategic sectors.
