Last call for Global Village Dubai: Season 29 ends tomorrow with fireworks and fun
Dh50 rides, kids free, open till 1am with food and fun
DUBAI’s beloved multicultural attraction, Global Village, is closing its doors for the summer on Sunday, May 18, officially marking the end of Season 29.
Originally set to close on May 11, the park announced a surprise extension, granting fans an extra week to enjoy its international offerings. The announcement was made via Global Village’s official social media channels last Sunday, and was met with enthusiasm from visitors looking to make the most of the cooler evenings before the summer heat kicks in.
Global Village has long been a staple of Dubai’s seasonal attractions, drawing crowds from across the UAE and beyond. Since its launch in October 2024, this season has seen millions of guests walking through its gates to explore a melting pot of culture, food, and entertainment. The final week is expected to be particularly busy, with a flurry of special deals and daily entertainment keeping the excitement alive until the last moment.
Extended hours
To accommodate the surge in last-minute visits, Global Village now stays open from 4pm to 1am daily through its final weekend. From Sunday to Saturday, guests can explore the vast 17,200,000 sq ft destination featuring more than 30 cultural pavilions, each showcasing handcrafted items, traditional foods, and live shows that bring global traditions to life.
Family-friendly offers
Several promotions have also been extended until May 18. Families will be happy to know that the “Kids Go Free” offer remains in place, giving children under 12 free entry to the park. In addition, visitors can enjoy unlimited rides in the Carnaval area for just Dh50, covering attractions ranging from rollercoasters to bumper cars.
The Golden Bar Challenge, another popular feature, invites guests to test their strength by attempting to lift a golden bar from a sealed box. Those who succeed can walk away with Dh2,900 in cash, part of a Dh87,000 prize pool.
Entertainment
From the Main Stage to the Kids’ Theatre, performances continue nightly. Expect cultural dance shows, musical acts, and appearances by beloved children’s characters. Food lovers can sample dishes from over 250 dining outlets, offering everything from Turkish ice cream to Asian street food and Middle Eastern classics.
Carnaval, Neon Galaxy – Challenge Zone, and Exo Planet City continue to be a major hit with thrill-seekers, offering games and activities suitable for all ages.
Easy access
Getting to Global Village remains simple. Located off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), the venue provides free general parking in zones P1 to P12, with rickshaws offering rides to the main gate for Dh5 per person. Alternatively, the RTA offers four dedicated bus routes:
- Route 102: Rashidiya (every 60 minutes)
- Route 103: Union (every 40 minutes)
- Route 104: Al Ghubaiba (every 60 minutes)
- Route 106: Mall of the Emirates (every 60 minutes)
Each route has a flat fare of Dh10.
Ticket prices
Entry is affordably priced:
- Dh25: Weekdays (Sunday to Thursday, excluding public holidays)
- Dh30: Any day access
- Free: Children under 12, seniors over 60, and People of Determination
The ticket includes access to all pavilions, the Emirati heritage area, and more than 200 daily cultural performances.
