Global Village Dubai opens Season 30 with dazzling fireworks display and Dh10m raffle
Thirty international pavilions, over 200 rides and 40,000 shows await you!
DUBAI – Global Village has officially reopened for its 30th season, marking a milestone year with a grand opening filled with fireworks, skydivers and a dazzling 600-drone light show.
The celebration lit up the skies with the number “30” as thousands of visitors gathered to witness the spectacle.
With over 10.5 million guests visiting last season, the popular multicultural park is once again set to welcome millions for a season of culture, entertainment and family fun.
What’s new this season
This year introduces several exciting additions, starting with Dragon Kingdom, an immersive, walk-through adventure featuring 11 themed rooms. Visitors join Ignis the dragon on a quest to reclaim his lost powers, blending fantasy with interactive storytelling. Nearby, the newly unveiled Gardens of the World offers a lush, landscaped escape between the Egypt and Iran pavilions, perfect for relaxing strolls and photo stops.
Families will also discover a new multi-level play area, Little Wonderers, packed with slides and obstacle courses for younger visitors. Across the park, visual and entertainment upgrades include enhanced lighting effects at Dragon Lake, an expanded Main Stage and new themed entrances reflecting Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
Adding a futuristic touch, Dubai Police’s new DPR-02 autonomous patrol robot has joined the park’s security team.
The AI-powered unit, equipped with 360-degree cameras and smart navigation, will help monitor crowds and ensure visitor safety as part of Dubai’s ongoing smart city initiatives.
Global culture and shows
At the heart of Global Village are its cultural pavilions and live performances. This season features 30 national pavilions representing more than 90 cultures, each showcasing traditional crafts, cuisine and live entertainment. Visitors can enjoy over 40,000 live shows throughout the season, including musical acts, dance performances and international street theatre.
The park’s Carnaval funfair returns with more than 200 rides, games and attractions, offering something for every age group. Expanded themed streets such as Fiesta Street, Dessert District and Asia Boulevard create a vibrant backdrop for exploration, shopping and dining.
Dining and shopping delights
Global Village remains a shopping and dining hotspot, home to over 3,500 retail outlets and 250 dining options. Visitors can browse handmade crafts, spices, textiles and souvenirs from around the world while sampling global street food. New additions include a colourful dessert lane and expanded dining promenades, offering international cuisines and sweet treats under twinkling lights.
Accessibility has also been improved. Wheelchairs and electric scooters are available for rent, ensuring that visitors of all abilities can enjoy the attractions comfortably.
Dream Dubai raffle
A major highlight of Season 30 is the Dream Dubai raffle, where every entry ticket automatically qualifies for weekly, monthly and quarterly draws. Prizes range from cash and gold to gadgets and cars, culminating in a Dh10 million grand prize at the end of the season. To enter, guests simply scan the QR code on their ticket and register online.
Weekly draws will take place live on the Main Stage every Thursday, keeping anticipation high all season long.
Tickets and travel
Entry tickets remain affordable, starting from Dh25 online for weekdays and Dh30 for any-day access. Children under three, senior citizens and People of Determination enjoy free entry. Tuesdays are dedicated to families and women, except on public holidays. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or via the Global Village website or app, where online buyers also enjoy automatic entry into the Dream Dubai raffle.
Reaching the venue is easy thanks to dedicated Roads and Transport Authority bus routes from major Dubai hubs, including Al Rashidiya, Union, Al Ghubaiba and Mall of the Emirates. On-site electric abras provide a scenic way to explore the park’s waterways, while multiple parking zones accommodate those arriving by car.
Safety remains a key focus, with frequent sanitisation, an on-site Prime Hospital medical clinic, and the combined efforts of Dubai Police, private security and the DPR-02 robot patrol.
