flydubai adds 80 destinations through new Air India and Uzbekistan Airways links
UAE carrier’s interline network now spans 46 airline partners
DUBAI – UAE airline flydubai has expanded its international connectivity through new interline agreements with Air India and Uzbekistan Airways, opening access to more than 80 additional destinations across Asia, Australia and Europe.
The partnerships allow passengers to combine flights operated by the airlines on single-ticket itineraries, with baggage checked through to their final destinations.
The agreements also give Air India and Uzbekistan Airways passengers access to destinations across flydubai’s network through Dubai, strengthening connections between the Middle East, South Asia, Central Asia and wider international markets.

With the latest agreements, flydubai’s interline network has grown to 46 airline partners, while its combined network reach through interline and codeshare arrangements now exceeds 300 destinations worldwide.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer of flydubai, said the partnerships with Air India and Uzbekistan Airways support the airline’s network expansion strategy by giving passengers more options when travelling through Dubai.
The Air India partnership extends connectivity into South Asia, Southeast Asia and Australia, while Uzbekistan Airways adds routes through Central Asia, Russia and Europe. The agreements also increase the range of destinations that can be reached through Dubai on coordinated itineraries.
Through Air India, flydubai passengers will gain access to Indian cities including Bengaluru, Chennai, Chandigarh, Goa, Jaipur, Pune and Varanasi. The partnership also opens connections to international destinations including Bali, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Mauritius, Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.
Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer at Air India, said the airline was expanding partnerships with international carriers to provide customers with wider network access and additional travel options.
Central Asia
The Uzbekistan Airways agreement expands connections through Tashkent, with passengers able to reach Russian cities including Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk and Moscow. The network also covers major European gateways such as Frankfurt, London, Milan, Munich, Paris and Rome.
Within Uzbekistan, passengers can connect to destinations including Bukhara, Fergana and Urgench.
Shukhrat Khudaykulov, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airways, said the cooperation would combine the strengths of both airlines’ route networks and provide passengers with more international travel options.
For passengers connecting onto flydubai flights, the carrier offers services aboard its Boeing 737 fleet. Business Class passengers have access to lie-flat seats, personalised service and internationally inspired menus, while Economy Class features ergonomically designed seats, adjustable leather headrests, complimentary dining options and inflight entertainment.
Dubai gateway
Since beginning operations in 2009, flydubai has developed a network covering more than 120 destinations. The airline says it has opened more than 100 routes to markets that previously had no direct air links to Dubai or were not served by a UAE national carrier.
Its interline and codeshare arrangements now provide access to more than 300 destinations worldwide, adding further connections through Dubai for passengers travelling between different regions.
Interline journeys involving Air India and Uzbekistan Airways are available to book through the official website, the respective airlines’ websites, the official flydubai app, flydubai’s Contact Centre, travel shops and travel partners.
