Dubai Sports Council honours ‘first line of defence’ for their efforts in recent rain
Each medal will be handed out to the participants in Dubai's upcoming sports events
DUBAI: The Dubai Sports Council (DSC) has issued a special commemorative medal to recognise the extraordinary efforts of the UAE's 'first line of defence', who worked tirelessly to ensure the community's safety during the recent unusual weather conditions. The medal is a gesture of gratitude and appreciation for their hard work and dedication.
Representatives from various public and private institutions and departments, including the Police, Emergency Services, Road and Transport Authority, Municipality, Civil Defence, Health, Ambulance Services, and Airport authorities, will be presented with the medal in forthcoming sports events in Dubai.
The first line of defence worked under extreme pressure to restore Dubai to its position as one of the top cities in the world. They are united by one common focus: humanity. The DSC wants to appreciate their tireless efforts and dedication to the first line of defence.
This is not the first time the DSC has honoured the first line of defence. A few years ago, they issued special medals to recognise the valuable work done by this group during the COVID-19 pandemic.
