Dubai Police add VOYAH FREE electric patrol vehicles to boost smart mobility
New vehicles combine electric efficiency with long-distance capability
DUBAI – Police in Dubai have expanded their patrol fleet with the addition of two luxury VOYAH FREE extended range electric vehicles, marking another step towards smart and sustainable mobility in the emirate.
The move comes as part of a collaboration with Performance Plus Motors, reinforcing efforts to integrate advanced automotive technologies into daily operations. The initiative reflects a broader commitment to reducing emissions while maintaining high operational efficiency across Dubai’s policing network.
The new vehicles were officially unveiled at the General Department of Transport and Rescue headquarters by Major General Rashid Khalifa Al Falasi, in the presence of senior officers and representatives from Performance Plus Motors. The launch ceremony brought together key figures from both organisations, underlining the significance of the partnership and its alignment with national sustainability goals.
VOYAH FREE
The VOYAH FREE operates using Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) technology, a system that relies primarily on an electric motor while incorporating a fuel-powered generator to recharge the battery. This configuration allows the vehicle to maintain extended driving capabilities without the need for frequent charging, addressing one of the key challenges associated with electric mobility.
According to specifications presented during the launch, the vehicle offers a combined driving range of up to 1,357 kilometres under the CLTC standard. This extended range is designed to support long patrol hours across the emirate, ensuring continuous performance without operational interruptions.
The dual motor all-wheel drive system produces a total output of 360 kW, equivalent to 483 horsepower, along with 720 Nm of torque. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, delivering rapid response capability suited to emergency and patrol scenarios.
In addition to performance, the VOYAH FREE is engineered with a fully adjustable air suspension system that provides up to 100 mm of lift. This feature enables adaptability across varying road conditions, enhancing stability and ride comfort during patrol duties.
Smart design
Inside, the vehicle is designed to offer a technologically advanced environment, featuring a fully integrated triple screen cabin. The system delivers a next-generation interface for drivers and passengers, supporting both operational efficiency and ease of use.
The interior layout also prioritises practicality, with luggage capacity ranging from 560 to 1,320 litres. This flexibility allows officers to carry essential equipment while maintaining a comfortable cabin space.
The combination of intelligent technology, premium design and electrified performance reflects a shift towards modern policing tools that align with Dubai’s vision of innovation and sustainability.
Officials highlighted the importance of collaboration in achieving these advancements. Major General Al Falasi noted that the integration of electric vehicles into the patrol fleet is part of ongoing efforts to adopt environmentally friendly transport solutions while strengthening police presence across the city.
The partnership with Performance Plus Motors was described as a key driver in introducing cutting-edge mobility solutions tailored to operational needs. Representatives from the company emphasised that the initiative goes beyond supplying vehicles, focusing instead on long-term cooperation in smart and responsible mobility.
During the ceremony, a commemorative shield was presented to Performance Plus Motors representatives, followed by a photo session featuring the newly introduced patrol vehicles.
