Emirates expands premium economy to four key cities
Latest onboard product available on over 635 weekly Emirates flights
DUBAI – Dubai-based Emirates is adding more of its next-generation Airbus A350s, retrofitted Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s – all featuring Premium Economy – on services to four cities across the Middle East and West Asia.
The move allows travellers to enjoy the airline’s enhanced onboard products, offering a consistent and comfortable experience when connecting through Dubai to other destinations served by the upgraded aircraft.
Which cities benefit?
Emirates’ enhanced aircraft will operate on the following schedules: EK903/904 to/from Amman will feature a four-class A380 with refreshed interiors, including Premium Economy, from 26 October 2025. Daily services will showcase the latest signature products.
Mumbai will receive a retrofitted Boeing 777 on EK504/505 starting 26 October, offering 22 weekly flights with the latest cabins.
Muscat will benefit from the Airbus A350 deployment on EK862/863 services on Thursday and Saturday from 30 October, across all nine weekly flights.
Bahrain will see an additional retrofitted Boeing 777 on EK833/834 services every Thursday from 4 December, with the aircraft exclusively fitted with Premium Economy and refreshed Business Class..
How extensive is the rollout?
These deployments raise Emirates’ Premium Economy offering to more than 635 weekly flights. By winter, 68 cities will be served with aircraft featuring Premium Economy, 36 of them exclusively with the highly acclaimed cabin. As demand for premium travel grows, Emirates plans to offer over 2 million Premium Economy seats by the end of 2025, up from more than 1.8 million seats currently.
How many aircraft are upgraded
Emirates’ retrofit programme, one of the largest in aviation history, is proceeding at pace, with an aircraft being completed approximately every three weeks. To date, 67 aircraft have been refurbished as part of a plan to upgrade 219 planes, including 110 A380s and 109 Boeing 777s. In addition, nine A350s are currently operating to 15 destinations.
