Overseas Pakistanis minister visits Dubai Consulate to discuss diaspora welfare
Officials discuss skills training, awareness initiatives and improved public facilities
DUBAI – Muhammad Awn Chaudhry, Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, visited the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai on Thursday to review efforts aimed at serving the Pakistani community in the UAE.
Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, along with officers and staff of the Consulate, warmly welcomed the minister upon his arrival.
The visit included an interactive meeting with Consulate officials and a review of various services provided to Pakistani citizens.
Community services
During the meeting, Chaudhry appreciated the efforts of the Consulate team in facilitating the Pakistani diaspora residing across the UAE. He emphasised the importance of further strengthening services and initiatives that address the needs of community members.
The minister highlighted the need to enhance skills training opportunities for overseas Pakistanis and strengthen community awareness initiatives. He also stressed the importance of providing improved facilities and more efficient services to members of the Pakistani community.
The discussions focused on ways to enhance engagement with the diaspora and ensure that consular services remain responsive to the requirements of Pakistani citizens living in the UAE.
Consular review
Chaudhry also visited various sections of the Consulate where consular services are provided to the public. He interacted with officials and received briefings on their responsibilities, workflow and service delivery.
The visit provided an opportunity to review the functioning of public-facing sections and discuss measures to improve the overall experience for community members seeking consular assistance.
