The latest data also highlighted the increasing importance of non-oil industries in driving economic activity. Non-oil GDP rose by 6.8 percent year-on-year, reaching Dh1.5 trillion and reinforcing the country’s long-standing strategy of building a diversified and sustainable economy.

Diversification drive

He said the latest results demonstrate the effectiveness of the UAE’s economic strategy, which focuses on diversification, sustainability and the expansion of new economy sectors. According to Bin Touq, the continued growth of non-oil activities and the increasing contribution of emerging industries are supporting the country’s progress towards the objectives outlined in the “We the UAE 2031” vision.

The minister added that flexible economic policies, built on future-focused planning and responsiveness to global developments, have accelerated diversification efforts while strengthening competitiveness and creating new opportunities for sustainable growth.

Key sectors

Several key sectors delivered notable growth during 2025, underlining the broad-based nature of the expansion.

The real estate sector posted growth of 7.9 percent, while transport and storage activities increased by 7.8 percent.

The performance of these sectors reflects continued investment, rising business activity and sustained demand across major areas of the national economy.

Non-oil GDP

Hanan Mansour Ahli, Managing Director of the FCSC, said the 2025 results reflect the success of the UAE’s economic and development policies in enhancing stability, improving sector competitiveness and advancing the structure of the national economy towards greater efficiency and diversity.

She noted that the UAE continues to strengthen its future readiness through investment in technology, innovation and the digital economy, while developing an integrated economic ecosystem that supports long-term growth and reinforces the country’s position as a global business and investment hub.

In terms of contributions to non-oil GDP, trade remained the largest sector, accounting for 16.9 percent of the total. The financial and insurance sector followed with a 13.2 percent share, while construction contributed 12.9 percent and manufacturing industries represented 12.8 percent.
