Pakistani airline intensifies UAE operations ahead of June travel peak
DUBAI: As the countdown to Eid Al Adha begins, Airblue is expanding its UAE–Pakistan flight capacity to meet the surge in demand.
The largest private Pakistani airline will operate additional flights – three each on June 2 and June 4 – on the busy Dubai–Islamabad route, according to Usman Muneer, Regional Sales Manager at Airblue.
With 57 weekly flights already connecting the UAE and Pakistan, the carrier is strengthening its footprint as the top operator on this high-traffic corridor. These additions are part of a broader strategy to facilitate increased travel during the Eid holiday season.
Agent recognition in Dubai
To mark its achievements and bolster trade relations, Airblue’s senior management recently visited the UAE. Led by Director Commercial Muhammad Shafique and General Manager Commercial Muhammad Kamran, the delegation engaged with key industry stakeholders.
One of the highlights of their visit was an awards ceremony in Dubai, recognising top-performing travel agents for their exceptional sales performance and continued loyalty.
The event encouraged collaboration, with travel agents sharing feedback and discussing future growth opportunities.
Global route expansion
Airblue also revealed its international expansion plans during the Dubai visit. The airline will soon launch a new Islamabad–Manchester route, with additional services planned to Oslo and an unnamed Italian destination.
Passengers flying from Dubai will benefit from seamless connectivity to these European cities via Islamabad. “This strategic outreach reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening partnerships and growing our network,” Muneer said.
Airblue, headquartered at the Islamabad Stock Exchange Towers, operates domestic routes within Pakistan and international services to the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
