Shafqat Ali Khan replaces Faisal Niaz Tirmizi as country’s top envoy
ABU DHABI – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received the credentials of newly appointed ambassadors to the country, including Shafqat Ali Khan, the new Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The ceremony took place at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
The UAE President welcomed the ambassadors and highlighted the nation’s longstanding commitment to dialogue, cooperation and global partnership.
His Highness reaffirmed that the UAE remains dedicated to fostering growth and prosperity with countries around the world. He underscored the importance of supporting peace and stability while promoting understanding among diverse cultures and communities. The new envoys were assured of full support as they begin their diplomatic missions in the Emirates.

New Ambassador conveys Pakistan’s message
Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan conveyed a message of brotherhood, respect and goodwill from the leadership of Pakistan. He extended their best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the UAE and its people. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed warmly reciprocated these sentiments, expressing hopes for deeper cooperation between the two nations as the ambassador assumes his new responsibilities.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, along with several sheikhs, ministers and senior government officials.
