Will Smith brings his storytelling magic to Sharjah International Book Fair 2025
Over 2,300 exhibitors from 118 countries to feature at the global fair
DUBAI – Book lovers are in for a star-studded surprise this November as global superstar Will Smith joins the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2025.
The Hollywood legend will take the Main Stage at Expo Centre Sharjah on Friday, November 14, at 8pm, marking his first-ever appearance at an international book fair.
Visitors can expect a captivating session where Smith delves into his creative journey, career milestones, and personal growth beyond fame.

Smith, best known for blockbuster hits like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Men in Black, and The Pursuit of Happyness, is also an acclaimed author. His memoir Will, co-written with Mark Manson, explores his life’s highs and lows with humour and honesty. He also penned Just the Two of Us, a children’s book inspired by his chart-topping song celebrating fatherhood.
Speaking on his participation, Khoula Al Mujaini, General Coordinator of SIBF, said that hosting a global icon like Smith aligns with the fair’s vision of celebrating creativity across art forms.
Now in its 44th edition, SIBF 2025 runs from November 5 to 16 under the theme “Between You and a Book.” Organised by the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), the event will feature 2,350 publishers and exhibitors from 118 countries, and host over 1,200 cultural activities.

Alongside Will Smith, visitors can look forward to talks by celebrated authors, including 2023 Booker Prize winner Paul Lynch, and the annual Thriller Festival, running from November 8 to 11.
