World’s only flying eye hospital lands in Dubai

DUBAI – The world’s only Flying Eye Hospital touched down in Dubai this week, offering a rare opportunity to step aboard a fully accredited ophthalmic teaching hospital in the sky.
Orbis International, the nonprofit behind the initiative, partnered with Swiss watchmaker OMEGA to host an exclusive media event at the JetEx terminal of Al Maktoum International Airport.
Journalists toured the aircraft, exploring its operating theatre, lecture facilities and advanced medical equipment. They also witnessed how Orbis doctors and specialists train local eye care teams while delivering life-changing treatment.
