Air Arabia Abu Dhabi increases weekly flights to Baku and Tbilisi
Fleet expansion planned to meet rising travel demand
DUBAI: Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital’s first low-cost carrier, has increased the frequency of flights to Baku and Tbilisi in response to rising travel demand.
This expansion offers enhanced connectivity between Abu Dhabi and two of the region’s most sought-after leisure destinations.
The airline now operates six weekly non-stop flights between Zayed International Airport and Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, Azerbaijan. The updated schedule includes services on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, offering more flexibility for travellers heading to the Azerbaijani capital.
What’s new for Tbilisi?
Beginning 7 August, flights to Tbilisi International Airport in Georgia will increase to eight weekly, with a double daily service every Thursday. This upgraded frequency reinforces the airline’s strategy to provide greater accessibility and convenience for both leisure and business passengers travelling between the UAE and Georgia.
According to Group Chief Executive Officer Adel Al Ali, “The increased frequencies to both Baku and Tbilisi reflect our ongoing commitment to strengthening our regional network while delivering greater convenience, flexibility, and value to our customers.”
How is Air Arabi’s network growing?
The move comes as part of Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s broader expansion plans. The airline recently launched flights to Almaty in Kazakhstan and Yerevan in Armenia, reinforcing its growing presence in high-demand cultural and holiday destinations across the region.
Currently, the carrier operates a modern fleet of 12 Airbus A320 aircraft, with plans to add two more before year-end to support increased passenger capacity and meet its growth targets.
