Forget screenshots: This hotel now uses AI to instantly match lower online room prices
No more hunting for cheaper deals with new booking upgrade
DUBAI – Booking a hotel directly is set to become much simpler after Radisson Hotel Group introduced an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered price matching feature that automatically detects and matches lower publicly available online rates in real time.
The technology removes the need for travellers to search for better deals, submit claims or wait for approval before securing the lowest eligible price.
The global launch marks a major step in the group's digital transformation strategy and aims to make direct hotel bookings more transparent and convenient.
Real-time AI
The new system continuously monitors publicly available prices for Radisson Hotel Group properties listed on third-party booking platforms. If it identifies an eligible lower rate on an online travel agency (OTA) or search platform such as Google Hotels, the technology instantly verifies the price difference and matches it on the group's official booking website.

Unlike traditional Best Online Rate Guarantee programmes, which require customers to locate a lower rate, complete claim forms and provide screenshots for verification, the new feature carries out the entire process automatically. Guests no longer need to submit any evidence or wait for manual approval before benefiting from a matched rate.
According to the company, the AI-powered solution is now available across all Radisson Hotel Group properties worldwide.
Gianni Di Fede, Global Chief Commercial Officer at Radisson Hotel Group, said travellers increasingly expect booking to be quick, straightforward and reliable. He said the automated system ensures guests who choose to book directly do not have to question whether a better public rate is available elsewhere, while making the process simpler and more transparent for both customers and hotel partners.
Global rollout
The technology currently monitors prices across several major booking platforms, including Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Agoda, Priceline, Trip.com and MakeMyTrip, along with other leading online travel websites.
When a lower eligible public rate is detected, the system verifies the pricing and immediately applies the matched rate on RadissonHotels.com before redirecting users to complete their reservation. The entire process takes place in real time without requiring additional interaction from the customer.
The company said the feature establishes a new benchmark for price transparency and seamless direct booking across the hospitality industry.
Wider strategy
Beyond simplifying bookings for guests, the automated system also reduces administrative work for hotel teams by removing the need to manually process price match requests. This allows staff to spend more time focusing on guest services while also providing greater visibility into pricing performance and booking behaviour.
The launch forms part of Radisson Hotel Group's wider digital innovation strategy, which focuses on automation, AI integration and enhancing the direct booking experience. By replacing its previous reactive Best Online Rate Guarantee model with an automated real-time solution, the group aims to strengthen direct relationships with guests while streamlining travel planning.
