Tom and Jerry’s 85th anniversary sets new Guinness World Record in Abu Dhabi
World’s longest cheese board unveiled at Warner Bros. World
ABU DHABI: Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi marked a whimsical milestone yesterday as it celebrated Cheese Day and 85 years of the legendary cartoon duo, Tom and Jerry, with a world record-breaking event.
In collaboration with Fatafeat – the largest Arabic food network under Warner Bros. Discovery – the theme park achieved the Guinness World Records title for the Longest Cheese Board/Platter.
Held at the region’s largest indoor theme park, the grand celebration, titled Tom and Jerry’s Big Cheese Adventure, brought the cartoon’s iconic cheese-chasing antics to life in a culinary extravaganza. The 30-metre-long cheese board featured approximately 345 kilograms of cheeses, making it a visual and gastronomic spectacle.

Around 80 percent of the board was composed entirely of cheese, ranging from soft and creamy varieties to firm and aged blocks. The remaining 20 percent included accompaniments such as fruits, crackers, and breads, artfully arranged to complement the theme. Once the event concluded, all food items were donated to the local organisation Grace Conservation (Hifz Al Naema) for distribution to families in need.
