India-Saudi Arabia travel: Riyadh Air begins ticket sales for Mumbai flights with daily service
New route strengthens connectivity for business, leisure and expatriate travellers
DUBAI – Riyadh Air has opened ticket sales for its new daily service between Mumbai and Riyadh, marking the airline's first route to India and another milestone in its expanding international network.
The new direct connection will begin operating on August 4, 2026, linking one of India's busiest aviation hubs with the Saudi capital. The launch takes Riyadh Air's growing network to nine destinations, with the carrier saying more routes will be announced in the coming days and weeks.
The airline said the new service supports its ambition of connecting Saudi Arabia with major global and regional destinations while delivering a premium travel experience for passengers.
Daily service
The route will operate every day between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai (BOM) and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh (RUH). Flights will be operated using Riyadh Air's Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, featuring the airline's latest cabin interiors and onboard experience across all travel classes.
Flight RX0698 will depart Mumbai at 10.05pm local time and arrive in Riyadh at 11.50pm. The return service, RX0697, will leave Riyadh at 2.05pm and land in Mumbai at 8.35pm local time.
Global connections
The Mumbai route has been designed to provide convenient onward connectivity across Europe and the Middle East, targeting both business and leisure travellers. Passengers flying from Mumbai will be able to connect through Riyadh to destinations including London, Madrid, Jeddah and Cairo.
Riyadh Air said the launch reflects its focus on India, one of the world's fastest-growing aviation markets. The service is expected to cater to strong demand for travel between India and Saudi Arabia, while also offering an additional option for expatriate communities travelling between the two countries.
The airline added that Riyadh's role as Saudi Arabia's commercial and administrative centre provides Indian travellers with greater access to business opportunities, modern attractions, entertainment and the Kingdom's rapidly expanding economy.
Loyalty benefits
Commenting on the launch, Riyadh Air Chief Executive Officer Tony Douglas said India continues to emerge as one of the fastest-growing aviation markets globally, making Mumbai a strategic addition to the airline's expanding network.
He said the route aligns with Riyadh Air's ambition of becoming a leading global airline while supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 by improving international connectivity and showcasing Saudi hospitality.
Bookings opened on July 6 through the Riyadh Air mobile app, the airline's website and authorised travel providers. Customers can also enrol as Founding Members of the Sfeer loyalty programme, which offers a Best Offer Guarantee, complimentary onboard Wi-Fi and the opportunity to earn rewards from their first journey.
