Latest schedules reveal when carriers expect to restart services from DXB
DUBAI – The Dubai International Airport (DXB) continues to handle heavy summer traffic, but passengers travelling with several international carriers are facing changes to their flight schedules.
A number of airlines have suspended services to and from Dubai, while others have delayed their planned return to the emirate.
The latest travel updates show that 16 international airlines have suspended, cancelled or delayed Dubai services, with some expected to return in August and September, while others are not scheduled to resume until October or 2027.
Here is the latest information on each affected airline.
Aegean Airlines
Greek flag carrier Aegean Airlines has suspended all flights to Dubai until October 7. Its schedule includes evening arrivals to and departures from Dubai from that date.
Air Astana
Kazakh airline Air Astana has suspended its Almaty-Dubai route until August 31. Affected passengers can receive a full refund, rebook for a later date free of charge or change to another international destination operated by the airline.
airBaltic
Latvian carrier airBaltic has suspended scheduled flights to and from Dubai until October 24. The airline says services will resume once it is safe to operate and affected passengers will be contacted as further information becomes available.
Air Canada
Air Canada has cancelled all Dubai flights until mid-January 2027, delaying its planned return under its winter schedule. Passengers can rebook for a later date or another destination without additional fees, or cancel and receive credit towards a future Air Canada journey.
Air France
Air France has suspended flights to Dubai until August 18, while departures from Dubai remain suspended until August 19. The French carrier is continuing to assess the local security situation and is allowing affected customers to cancel or postpone trips without additional fees.
British Airways
British Airways has paused flights to Dubai, as well as Tel Aviv, Bahrain and Amman, until October 25. Services are currently scheduled to resume on that date as part of the airline's winter schedule.
Cathay Pacific
Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific has cancelled flights to and from Dubai through October 25. Passengers affected by the cancellations can rebook their journey for a different date, provided travel takes place on or before March 31, 2027.
Finnair
Finnish flag carrier Finnair plans to resume Dubai flights in October as part of its winter schedule. The airline ended its Dubai operations in March, with flights unavailable for booking through the end of October.
Eurowings
Eurowings, part of Lufthansa Group, has suspended Dubai flights until October 24. Affected passengers can rebook for a later date free of charge or request a full refund.
KLM
Dutch carrier KLM will not operate flights to or from Dubai up to and including October 24. Passengers whose flights have been cancelled can rebook without a fee or request a refund through the airline's booking system.
Korean Air
Korean Air has suspended its Incheon-Dubai route until further notice. The airline has not announced a specific date for the resumption of services.
Lufthansa and SWISS
Lufthansa and SWISS have suspended Dubai flights until at least September 13. Lufthansa said DXB and Dubai World Central (DWC) are significantly reducing flight movements because of capacity constraints, alongside regional airspace restrictions.
Affected passengers can rebook for a later date free of charge or receive a full refund under the applicable Lufthansa Group arrangements.
Philippine Airlines
Philippine Airlines has extended its Dubai flight suspension until October 2, citing increasing risks to critical infrastructure and overall airspace safety.
Affected passengers can rebook another available flight in the same cabin at no additional cost, convert their ticket into Travel Credits with a 20 percent bonus, or request a full refund if eligible.
Singapore Airlines
Singapore Airlines has cancelled its SQ494 and SQ495 services between Singapore and Dubai until October 24. The carrier has warned that other flights could also be affected.
Passengers affected by cancellations can be moved to alternative flights or request a full refund of the unused portion of their ticket.
Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic suspended its seasonal London Heathrow-Dubai service in May and does not plan to return to Dubai until 2027 at the earliest.
Wizz Air
Budget carrier Wizz Air has also suspended operations to and from Dubai. While the airline has not published a specific statement confirming a resumption date, its schedule currently shows no Dubai flights until late October.
Meanwhile, Dubai-based carriers Emirates and flydubai continue to operate wide-ranging schedules from DXB. Emirates also continues to operate direct services between Dubai and Montreal and Toronto.
Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths has said foreign-based airlines are facing difficulties obtaining insurance for operations, contributing to delays in the return of some international carriers.
Passengers travelling through DXB are advised to check directly with their airline before heading to the airport, as schedules and resumption dates remain subject to change.
