DUBAI – Dubai’s retail gold prices opened Monday with 24K at Dh507 per gram, according to the Dubai Jewellery Group.

The 22K rate stood at Dh469.50, while 21K was set at Dh450.25 and 18K at Dh386. The 14K category opened at Dh301, reflecting a steady start to the new week as traders monitored global market developments and upcoming policy signals from the United States.

Global gold prices

Spot gold edged 0.3% higher to $4,207.99 per ounce as of 0530 GMT, supported by a weaker US dollar trading near one-month lows. US gold futures slipped 0.1% to $4,237 per ounce. The softer greenback made bullion more attractive to overseas buyers, helping keep global prices firm at the start of the week.

Other precious metals

Silver traded at $58.05 per ounce after reaching a record $59.32 on Friday. The metal has more than doubled this year and remains supported by robust industrial demand and expectations that supply pressures will persist through 2026.

Platinum gained 1.4% to $1,664.20, while palladium rose 0.8% to $1,468.26, marking a broadly positive session across the precious metals complex as investors positioned ahead of key policy decisions.
