Emirates adds daily A350 services from Dubai to Copenhagen, Phuket and Cape Town
Extra frequencies strengthen connections ahead of peak travel season
DUBAI – Emirates has announced the introduction of new daily services operated by its next-generation A350 aircraft to Copenhagen, Phuket and Cape Town, adding capacity on three key routes ahead of the peak summer travel period.
The additional frequencies are aimed at meeting rising demand while expanding access to the airline’s latest onboard products, including its award-winning Premium Economy cabin.
The expanded services will complement existing schedules, offering passengers greater choice and improved connectivity through Dubai. Emirates said the deployment of the A350 on these routes also supports its wider strategy of delivering a more consistent premium experience across its global network.
Copenhagen
From 1 June, Emirates will operate a second daily flight between Dubai and Copenhagen using the A350. The additional service is expected to strengthen links between Northern Europe and destinations across Asia, Africa and the Middle East via Dubai.
The new frequency offers improved connection times to East Asian cities such as Bangkok, Bali, Manila and Tokyo Haneda, as well as to Colombo and Male. It also opens up new one-stop links from Copenhagen to African destinations including Nairobi and Entebbe, while passengers travelling from cities in Asia-Pacific and the Indian subcontinent will benefit from enhanced onward connections to the Danish capital.
Phuket
Phuket will receive a third daily Emirates service from 1 July, operated by the A350. The flight is timed for an early morning arrival, catering to travellers connecting from major European gateways as well as passengers arriving via Dubai from regional markets.
The added frequency increases travel options to one of Southeast Asia’s most popular leisure destinations and improves onward connectivity from Phuket to several cities across Europe and the Middle East, supporting both inbound tourism and outbound travel demand.
Cape Town
Cape Town will also see a third daily Emirates service from 1 July, with the route operated by the A350. The airline has reported consistently high load factors on its existing double daily services, particularly during peak travel periods.
The additional frequency is designed to support both leisure and corporate travel, with optimised connections to and from Europe, the Indian subcontinent, Australasia and key Asian markets. Emirates noted that inbound demand from the GCC continues to grow, while outbound travel from South Africa to Europe and the US East Coast remains strong.
