Free family events to showcase music, dance, art and Indian cultural traditions
DUBAI – The skies above Dubai are set to dazzle once again as the city prepares for Diwali 2025 celebrations this month.
Fireworks, cultural events and live performances will fill the week from October 17 to 25, bringing residents and visitors together to mark the Indian Festival of Lights.
Two major fireworks locations have been confirmed, alongside a three-day cultural celebration – Noor: Festival of Lights – promising an unmissable line-up of festivities across the city.
Diwali fireworks across Dubai
The first Diwali fireworks show will illuminate the waterfront at Al Seef on Thursday, October 17 at 9pm. Set against the scenic Dubai Creek, visitors can enjoy a shimmering display reflecting off the water surrounded by the district’s historic architecture and bustling souks. Families are encouraged to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot as large crowds are expected.
The festivities will continue at Global Village, which will host four additional fireworks displays at 9pm on October 18, 19, 24 and 25. The vibrant multicultural park will add extra sparkle to its Diwali celebrations, creating a festive atmosphere that combines world pavilions, live shows and street food.
Noor Festival of Lights
Running parallel to the fireworks is Noor: Festival of Lights, a free three-day event taking place at Souk Al Seef from October 17 to 19. Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) under Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), in collaboration with the Indian Consulate in Dubai and Teamwork Arts, the festival celebrates Diwali’s essence of light overcoming darkness and unity through culture.
The Noor Festival will offer a diverse programme featuring music, dance, poetry, storytelling, comedy and interactive workshops inspired by Indian traditions. Visitors can take part in creative activities such as rangoli art and drumming circles, designed to encourage community engagement. The event aims to reflect Dubai’s multicultural spirit while showcasing India’s artistic heritage.
Free celebrations for all
All Noor Festival events are free to attend, welcoming families, residents and tourists alike. The complete programme of performances and activities will be revealed on Friday, promising an even brighter Diwali for everyone in Dubai.
