First AI-powered visa platform launches in UAE
New solutions target airlines, agencies, corporates and online travel businesses
DUBAI – UAE-based Musafir Holdings has launched JETT, a standalone travel technology business designed to provide digital solutions across visa services, travel agency operations and corporate travel.
The new business brings together independently deployable technology that can be integrated into existing travel platforms and customer journeys.
At the centre of the launch is JETT Visa Intelligence, an end-to-end visa booking platform covering passport holders from more than 200 nationalities across more than 120 destinations. The platform is also the first in the region to integrate the complete visa application and processing journey directly into AI assistants through Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing travellers to move from eligibility checks to applications within a connected digital experience.
The technology uses information such as passport nationality, residency and destination to identify applicable visa requirements and options. It brings together eligibility, documentation, pricing, processing information and application guidance, with the technology already powering Musafir.com’s live visa operations.
AI visa access
JETT Visa Intelligence is available through three connected channels, giving consumers, travel businesses and AI assistants different ways to access its capabilities.
Travellers can use the service directly through the Musafir website and app, while travel businesses can integrate visa capabilities into their own customer journeys through JETT’s Visa API. AI assistants can retrieve visa information through Visa MCP, based on the traveller’s individual circumstances.
The MCP integration is designed to address an emerging challenge in AI-assisted travel planning. While AI assistants can increasingly help travellers research destinations, flights and itineraries, travel planning can remain incomplete without accurate information on whether an individual traveller can enter a destination and what visa requirements apply.
Through Visa MCP, an AI assistant can retrieve information from JETT’s visa intelligence layer according to the traveller’s circumstances rather than relying solely on information already available within the AI model. The information can include visa requirements and eligibility, visa-free and visa-on-arrival guidance, traveller-specific pricing, processing information, document checklists and comparisons between destinations.
Visa MCP is compatible with AI assistants that support Model Context Protocol. However, availability on individual AI platforms remains subject to the respective platform’s review and approval processes.
B2B integration
JETT’s B2B Visa API is designed for online travel agencies, airlines, travel agencies and Travel Management Companies (TMCs) seeking to incorporate visa information and services into their existing booking and customer journeys.
Partners can access visa products, documentation requirements, traveller-specific information and application status while maintaining their own branding and customer experience.
For example, an online travel agency could identify visa requirements for a customer after a flight booking and present the relevant visa journey within its own platform. This removes the need for travellers to separately research visa requirements and application procedures.
The consumer-facing JETT Visa Platform powering Musafir.com also supports passport optical character recognition (OCR), document guidance, guided applications, family and multi-traveller journeys, payments and application tracking. Customers can receive updates through the Musafir app, WhatsApp and email.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani, Chairman and Co-founder of Musafir Holdings, said the technology was developed to address challenges encountered through Musafir’s own operations and is now being made available to other travel businesses.
“As more people turn to AI to plan their trips, we want clear, relevant travel and visa information to be part of that experience from the start,” he said.
Beyond visas
JETT’s offering extends beyond visa technology, with two separate solutions focused on corporate travel and travel agencies. Both products can be sold and deployed independently, allowing businesses to adopt the technology they require without replacing their existing technology infrastructure.
The JETT Corporate Booking Tool (CBT) connects business travel functions including bookings, travel policies, approvals, payments, expenses and reporting. The platform is designed to give corporates and TMCs greater visibility and control over their travel programmes.
The JETT Travel Agent Platform provides a digital ecosystem for travel agencies to search, book, manage and service flights, hotels, visas, transfers, activities and other travel products. It also includes integrated payments, reporting and back-office tools.
The platform is intended to allow travel agencies to launch, automate and expand their online operations without having to build or maintain their own technology infrastructure.
Sachin Gadoya, Co-founder and CEO of Musafir Holdings, said JETT is intended to give travel businesses access to technology, data and intelligent services that can be adopted according to their individual requirements.
“Through JETT, we want to give travel businesses access to capabilities they can adopt and integrate based on their own requirements rather than having to build every layer themselves,” he said.
Musafir Holdings will showcase JETT at Arabian Travel Market 2026, taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre from September 14 to 17. Visa Intelligence, AI connectivity and B2B travel technology will be among the main areas of focus as the company engages with potential partners.
