ABU DHABI – Aldar has unveiled Yas Point, a major new waterfront destination on Abu Dhabi's Yas Island with a gross development value of Dh6 billion.

Located on the island's northern coastline, the mixed-use project is designed to further expand Yas Island's position as one of the world's leading lifestyle, entertainment and tourism destinations.

The master-planned development will combine residential, hospitality, retail, education and leisure facilities within a beachfront setting. Once completed, Yas Point is expected to accommodate around 5,000 residents.

Masterplan

Spanning approximately 600,000 square metres, Yas Point will feature around 1,600 residences alongside a five-star resort hotel, branded residences, an international school, retail outlets, restaurants and leisure attractions.

According to Aldar, the project has been designed as a fully integrated waterfront community that connects seamlessly with Yas Island's wider network of entertainment and lifestyle destinations. The walkable masterplan will include waterfront promenades, public spaces, park connections and pedestrian-friendly pathways aimed at encouraging outdoor activity and year-round experiences.

Lifestyle destination

Situated close to Yas Island's globally recognised attractions, the development aims to transform one of the island's most prominent coastal locations into a destination where residents and visitors can live, relax and explore.

Aldar said the project is intended to create a vibrant waterfront environment featuring beachfront amenities, open public areas and a variety of recreational experiences, strengthening Yas Island's appeal for both local and international visitors.

Jonathan Emery, Chief Executive Officer of Aldar Development, said the world's leading destinations continue to evolve to remain globally competitive and attract new visitors, residents and investors.

He said Yas Point reflects that ambition by introducing a vibrant waterfront destination that expands how people experience Yas Island while reinforcing Abu Dhabi's position as a leading destination for lifestyle, tourism and investment.
