Emirates announces final scheduled flight to this country next year
Flights currently operating normally between Dubai and Algiers
DUBAI – Emirates has confirmed that flights between the UAE and Algeria are continuing as scheduled, even as Algeria begins the process of terminating its air services agreement with the UAE.
The airline said services to and from Algeria remain unaffected at present and advised passengers with upcoming bookings to proceed with their travel plans as normal. At the same time, Emirates disclosed that its last scheduled flight from Algiers, EK757, is currently set to depart on February 3, 2027.
The update follows Algeria’s announcement that it has initiated procedures to cancel the air services agreement signed with the UAE in Abu Dhabi in 2013.
UAE-Algeria flights
In a statement issued via its customer service channel on X, Emirates confirmed that flights to and from Algeria are operating as scheduled, with no immediate changes to services.
“Customers with upcoming travel plans should proceed as booked,” the airline said, adding that it would fully comply with any instructions or directives issued by government authorities. Emirates also noted that it would provide timely updates to customers, employees and partners should circumstances change.

The carrier currently operates six flights per week between Dubai International Airport and Algiers, typically deploying a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the route. These services continue to run under the existing framework while the formal notice period remains in effect.
Agreement notice
On February 8, the UAE confirmed there was no immediate impact on air traffic operations following Algeria’s decision to terminate the bilateral agreement.
The General Civil Aviation Authority clarified that Algeria’s move falls within the procedures outlined in international agreement frameworks. It stressed that the agreement remains valid throughout the legally required notice period, allowing flights between the two countries to continue operating as usual during that time.
The authority added that it is coordinating with relevant entities through official channels and that the matter is being handled responsibly and professionally, in line with established legal and diplomatic processes.
Algeria announced on Saturday that it had begun the process of cancelling the air services agreement signed in 2013, without providing an immediate explanation for the decision.
What passengers need to know
Emirates stated that its last scheduled flight from Algiers, EK757, will depart on February 3, 2027, based on current planning. The airline apologised for any inconvenience and advised customers whose travel plans may be affected from that date to consider alternative arrangements through their booking agents.
For now, however, the airline has emphasised that services remain unchanged and that operations between Dubai and the Algerian capital continue without disruption.
Further updates are expected should there be any revisions to the agreement’s status or operational directives from authorities in either country.
