Ramadan 2026: Riyadh Minhal unveils Oasis of Light tent with live stations and grand iftar
Desert-inspired setting blends tradition with modern hospitality
DUBAI – The holy month of Ramadan is being marked with a new hospitality experience in the Saudi capital as Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Centre, Riyadh Minhal has introduced its themed Ramadan tent, Oasis of Light.
The concept is designed to bring together culture, cuisine and community under one setting inspired by traditional desert landscapes and spiritual symbolism. The hotel says the seasonal installation focuses on warmth, generosity and shared moments around the iftar table.
The Ramadan tent has been developed as a dedicated space where guests can gather nightly throughout the holy month, with a focus on atmosphere, presentation and culinary variety. From décor to menu design, the experience draws on regional heritage while incorporating contemporary elements aimed at families, corporate groups and private hosts.
Oasis of Light
The Oasis of Light theme takes inspiration from desert oases and the symbolic role of light in Ramadan traditions. The setting combines soft illumination, artistic detailing and majlis-style arrangements to create what the hotel describes as a calm and welcoming sanctuary for fasting guests at sunset.

According to the property, the design balances local identity with modern elegance, using layered lighting and textured décor to create an immersive environment. The goal is to provide a space that supports both reflection and celebration, aligning with the social and spiritual rhythms of the month.
Guests entering the tent are welcomed into a layout structured for group dining and shared platters, reinforcing the communal aspect of iftar. Hospitality teams have been assigned specifically to the Ramadan venue to manage guest flow and personalised service during peak evening hours.
Iftar experience
The nightly iftar buffet forms the centrepiece of the Oasis of Light programme. The offering includes a mix of traditional Ramadan dishes and contemporary international selections prepared by the hotel’s culinary team. Live cooking stations are a major feature, allowing guests to watch chefs prepare selected dishes on demand.

Menus rotate across the month and feature a range of regional flavours, desserts and beverages typically associated with Ramadan evenings. The hotel says the approach is designed to cater to diverse tastes while maintaining authenticity in core Arabic dishes.
In addition to the buffet spread, the tent includes interactive food counters and specialty stations, adding movement and variety to the dining experience. The venue is also positioned as suitable for corporate iftar bookings and private group gatherings, with configurable seating and service options.
Ramadan tent
André A. Saadé, General Manager of the property, said Ramadan remains one of the most important periods in the hospitality calendar, centred on connection and generosity. He noted that the Oasis of Light concept was created to go beyond dining and focus on emotional and cultural resonance.
He said the experience was designed as a space of tranquillity and warmth, where guests can feel the spirit of Ramadan through both setting and service. The concept draws directly from traditional Saudi hospitality values and the custom of gathering around the iftar table, while integrating the brand’s service philosophy into every detail of the guest journey.
Hotel officials say the Ramadan tent will operate throughout the holy month, with advance reservations open for families, companies and event organisers seeking themed iftar settings in Riyadh.

The hotel operates under Radisson Hotel Group, an international hospitality company active across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
