Indian and Pakistan consulates in Dubai to suspend services for maintenance work
Abu Dhabi mission offers alternative for urgent Indian applications
DUBAI – Dubai residents seeking passport, visa or attestation services at the Indian and Pakistan Consulates will have to adjust their plans after both missions announced temporary closures due to maintenance work at the Consular Complex.
The suspensions will affect routine consular services from Friday, July 17.
Both missions have advised applicants to avoid visiting during the closure period and to plan appointments accordingly.
Indian mission
The Consulate General of India in Dubai said its premises will remain closed from Friday, July 17, until Sunday, July 19, 2026, as road maintenance work is carried out by the relevant authorities within the Consulate complex.
During the three-day closure, all passport, visa and attestation services will remain suspended. The mission said normal operations will resume on Monday, July 20.
Appointments for services on July 20 will become available from 8pm on Sunday, July 19.
The Consulate also noted that passport, visa and attestation services at the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi will continue to operate on Friday, July 17, providing an alternative for applicants requiring urgent consular assistance.
Pakistan mission
Separately, the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai announced that all consular services will remain closed on Friday, July 17, because of maintenance work being undertaken by the UAE authorities at the Consular Complex.
The suspension covers all routine services, including passport renewals. The mission said regular consular operations will resume on Monday, July 20.
Pakistani nationals have been urged to schedule their visits accordingly and avoid travelling to the Consulate on Friday.
