DUBAI – Dubai Holding has expanded its European hospitality portfolio with the acquisition of the five-star Jumeirah Mallorca in Spain, marking a significant addition to its growing international asset base.

The diversified global investment company operates across more than 30 countries and continues to strengthen its presence in key tourism markets. The property will continue to be managed by Jumeirah, Dubai Holding’s flagship luxury hospitality brand.

Located on Mallorca’s north-west coast, Jumeirah Mallorca is a premium retreat featuring 121 rooms with sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea and the UNESCO-listed Serra de Tramuntana mountain range. The resort has been operated under the Jumeirah brand for several years and is widely recognised for its environmental credentials, having achieved LEED Platinum certification for sustainability and performance.

Dubai Holding said the acquisition aligns with its long-term strategy of investing in high-quality assets that support a diversified and resilient global portfolio. The group plans further investment in the property to enhance its overall offering, with the aim of positioning Jumeirah Mallorca as one of the brand’s flagship destinations across the Mediterranean region.

Amit Kaushal, Group Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding, described the deal as a strategic addition to the company’s hospitality portfolio. He said the acquisition reflects a continued focus on disciplined growth, operational optimisation and the creation of sustainable long-term value across global assets.

The Mallorca acquisition expands Dubai Holding Hospitality’s ownership portfolio to 34 hotels and resorts worldwide. This includes five Jumeirah-branded properties across Europe, reinforcing the group’s footprint in established and high-performing leisure destinations. The wider portfolio spans several renowned hospitality brands, including the Bvlgari Hotel Dubai, alongside a broad food and beverage offering.

Jumeirah currently operates 29 luxury properties across major global cities and resort locations, positioning the brand among the leading names in high-end hospitality.

European presence

The deal further strengthens Jumeirah’s presence in Europe, complementing its existing properties in London and Capri. The brand is also preparing for the upcoming opening of Jumeirah Le Richemond Geneva in Switzerland, as part of its continued expansion into key gateway cities.

Dubai Holding said the acquisition supports Jumeirah’s long-term ambition to become the world’s most influential hospitality brand, with a growing focus on iconic locations and premium guest experiences across international markets.
