DUBAI – The Dubai Police have launched a new Lawyers Platform offering seven specialised digital legal services, alongside the second generation of its official website and smart application.

The initiative is designed to simplify legal procedures, accelerate transactions, and enhance the digital experience for lawyers and legal consultants. The announcement was made during a press conference at the Dubai Police Officers Club in Al Jaddaf, attended by senior officials, legal professionals, and media representatives.

The event was attended by Dr Major General Ahmad Zaal Bin Krishan Almuhairi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Financial and Administrative Sector Affairs, and Major General Hareb Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Sector Affairs, along with assistant commanders-in-chief, senior officers, lawyers, legal consultants, and members of the media.

Seven digital services

Dubai Police confirmed that the Lawyers Platform currently provides seven digital legal services aimed at reducing processing times, minimising paperwork, and limiting the need for in-person visits to police stations.

The services are available through secure digital channels and are integrated with approved legal and regulatory frameworks.

The seven services include:

  • Linking powers of attorney to officially represent clients in registered cases
  • Electronic signing of powers of attorney using an approved and secure digital format
  • Issuance of a Good Conduct Search Certificate to support lifting circulars after legal and financial settlement
  • Filing criminal complaints on behalf of clients following identity verification and agency linkage
  • Issuance of To Whom It May Concern certificates related to specific cases or procedures
  • Permits for virtual visits with detainees or inmates held in Dubai
  • Enquiry about circulars and travel bans with direct digital payment and case closure through the service

Dubai Police said the integration of these services into a single platform enhances transparency, strengthens coordination with justice sector partners, and supports faster case resolution.

Digital strategy

Major General Dr Saleh Abdullah Murad, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Administrative Affairs and Chairman of the Customer Happiness Council at Dubai Police, said the launch reflects the organisation’s continued commitment to developing advanced technical systems under the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.

He explained that Dubai Police is focused on ensuring fast and flexible access to security, traffic, community, and criminal services through modern digital channels. This approach supports strategic objectives, enhances community happiness, strengthens security readiness, and builds innovative capabilities that keep pace with change.

Major General Murad said the Lawyers Platform supports the justice system by enabling legal partners to complete procedures efficiently through secure, integrated digital services. He added that the initiative aligns with Dubai’s digital transformation agenda and the zero bureaucracy strategy, offering proactive services built on innovation and data science.

He noted that the second generation of the Dubai Police website and smart application reflects the adoption of advanced artificial intelligence technologies, not only to speed up procedures but also to redesign the customer journey to be simpler, more accurate, and more reliable.

AI integration

Major General Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, said artificial intelligence has become a core pillar in the development of modern policing systems. He explained that Dubai Police follows a clear vision that transforms data and advanced technologies into effective tools for decision making, service efficiency, and system integration.

He said the new website and smart application comply with the approved digital identity framework and provide services in all seven official United Nations languages. Artificial intelligence systems also support more than 268 languages, significantly expanding accessibility for users from different linguistic backgrounds.

Major General Al Razooqi confirmed that the seven digital legal services were developed in line with approved legal frameworks, without affecting existing regulatory procedures. He said the initiative reflects a proactive approach to building a digital ecosystem capable of continuous learning and improvement, while enhancing reliability, accuracy, and integration with relevant entities.

He added that the platform supports the zero bureaucracy strategy by reducing traditional procedures, unifying service channels, and offering interconnected services that save time and effort for users.

Operational efficiency

Brigadier Majed Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Department of Police Stations, said the Lawyers Platform represents a qualitative shift in services provided to lawyers and legal consultants. He explained that the platform significantly reduces reliance on in-person visits to police stations and enhances operational efficiency.

By enabling lawyers to submit requests and complete procedures electronically, the platform saves time and effort, improves communication with justice partners, and supports a secure and transparent digital environment. He said this reduction in physical visits allows police personnel to focus more effectively on essential security and community duties.

Lawyers can access the platform around the clock through the Dubai Police website to submit documents and follow up on requests, while police stations can monitor procedures and request statuses in real time.

Customer experience

Hessa Al Balooshi, Director of Smart Applications at the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, said the new system delivers a unified digital platform across the website and smart application, ensuring a seamless and integrated experience supported by continuous data flow across channels.

She explained that users can access services, reports, notifications, and request tracking through a single central point. The platform features smart service accelerators that analyse user behaviour and language patterns to deliver more personalised and efficient services.

Through the Services Portal and the Customer 360 Profile, users can access a customised dashboard displaying all requests, complaints, reports, and suggestions. Unified notifications and alerts enhance transparency and accountability.

The platform also introduces dedicated Lawyers Workspaces, enabling legal professionals to manage cases, powers of attorney, and client requests digitally and securely using digital identity. An integrated request and case management system allows tracking of requests, circulars, and travel bans, supported by clear timelines and continuous updates via email, SMS, and in-platform notifications.
