Etihad offers 1,000 bonus miles and extra baggage for Eid travellers
New airport services aim to reduce queues and speed up journeys
ABU DHABI – Etihad Airways is preparing for a sharp rise in passenger traffic ahead of the Eid al-Adha holidays and the wider summer travel season, as demand grows across its expanding international network.
With routes spanning the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia and North America, the Abu Dhabi-based carrier is rolling out a series of seasonal benefits designed to simplify journeys during one of the year's busiest travel periods.
The airline is urging passengers flying to or through Abu Dhabi to plan early and take advantage of expanded check-in options, digital services and limited-time travel perks aimed at reducing airport stress.
Bonus benefits
From May 19 until August 16, travellers using any Etihad City Check-In location in Abu Dhabi through the Morafiq app or website can receive 1,000 Etihad Guest Miles and an additional 3kg baggage allowance. The service costs Dh40 per person and allows passengers to check in and drop luggage up to 24 hours before departure.

The service, available through Morafiq, allows travellers to complete check-in from home, hotels or offices, including baggage collection, seat selection and boarding pass delivery.

Travel tools
As travel demand rises, Etihad is advising passengers to arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure. Travellers can also use the Etihad mobile app to check in from 30 hours before flights, access digital boarding passes, receive live gate notifications and track baggage on selected routes.
Passengers have also been reminded to review baggage regulations before travelling. Power banks, smart bags with removable batteries and e-smoking devices must remain in cabin baggage.
