The announcement marks the first time a resident has secured the massive grand prize, the largest ever in the UAE’s gaming history.
According to the official website, the winner’s name appears as Anilkum** B** – in line with the operator’s policy of revealing only partial names of major prize winners.
The entry appeared on the results page of the Lucky Day draw held on Saturday, displayed under a special “Super Win” design featuring colourful confetti artwork.
Who is the Dh100m jackpot winner?
Within hours, users began speculating about the winner’s background, with many suggesting that Anil could be an Indian expatriate, possibly from Kerala. In an official statement released on Sunday, the UAE Lottery announced that its first-ever Dh100 million Grand Prize had been claimed. “It’s official. The UAE Lottery’s first Dh100 million Grand Prize has been won, and verification is now underway,” the operator confirmed.
The statement added that the event represents a “historic milestone for our winner, our organisation, and the UAE’s entertainment and gaming landscape.” However, the full identity of the winner remains confidential as the operator conducts standard verification procedures.
The Dh100 million jackpot is the largest lottery prize ever awarded in the UAE, with winning odds estimated at 1 in 8,835,372. Since its inception, more than 100,000 players have won prizes totalling over Dh40 million through the Lucky Day draw, which is held every other Saturday at 8.30pm UAE time.
Each entry costs Dh50, giving participants a chance at the Dh100 million grand prize along with seven guaranteed Dh100,000 “Lucky Chance” rewards. Prizes over Dh100,000 must be claimed in person, typically processed within 30 days following verification.
Verification underway
The UAE Lottery confirmed that internal checks and compliance reviews are in progress before publicly identifying the winner. “As part of our standard operating procedures, we are conducting due diligence to ensure that all internal checks, security protocols, and General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority compliance requirements are fulfilled before revealing further details,” the statement read.
The operator reiterated its commitment to responsible gaming and transparency, assuring that more details about the Dh100 million winner will be announced once verification is complete.
