DUBAI – Dubai’s transport sector is among the industries included in the emirate’s latest Dh1.5 billion economic incentives package, with new measures targeting operational flexibility and cost relief.

The package, approved by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, introduces 33 initiatives spanning multiple sectors and is designed to strengthen economic resilience while supporting business continuity.

Under the new measures, establishments registered with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will benefit from deferred payments related to passenger activity sectors.

The support package also includes exemptions linked to violations associated with vehicle availability index requirements and arrival time index measures.

The initiatives aim to ease pressures on transport operators while supporting continuity across passenger services and related activities.

Authorities said implementation schedules for the incentives will be announced by the respective government entities overseeing each measure.
