Thailand unveils Asia’s largest Disney Christmas experience
Seven immersive zones debut at centralwOrld Bangkok
DUBAI/BANGKOK – Central Pattana plc has partnered with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and The Walt Disney (Thailand) to deliver a large-scale festive campaign aimed at boosting tourism and year-end economic activity.
Backed by an investment exceeding 800 million baht, the initiative forms part of Thailand’s wider ‘Festival Economy’ strategy. The nationwide celebration, titled Disney The Magical Stars 2026, runs from 14 November 2025 to 11 January 2026 across Central shopping centres.
The campaign introduces four Disney-inspired fairytale kingdoms, designed to create a unified festive atmosphere across key destinations. The centrepiece is located at centralwOrld Bangkok, where a signature Christmas tree stands alongside three-metre-tall sculptures of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dressed in traditional Thai silk. The display blends global entertainment with local cultural identity, reinforcing Thailand’s positioning as a world-class festive destination.
The Magical Stars
Beyond Bangkok, The Magical Stars extends to Central shopping centres in major tourist hubs, including Central Phuket, Central Pattaya and Central Chiangmai. Each location adopts themed zones such as Magic Town, featuring Mickey and Friends, and Magic Castle, inspired by Disney Princesses. The initiative is designed to connect visitors through shared experiences while encouraging travel between destinations during the peak holiday period.
Central Pattana also highlighted Thai heritage through The Magical Thai Pride, a collection of Christmas trees created by artisan communities from across the country. The displays honour Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and continue her legacy of promoting Thai handicrafts internationally, placing local craftsmanship on a global festive stage.
Record-scale experience
At centralwOrld, visitors experienced the largest Disney-themed celebration in Asia, spanning more than 3,500 square metres. Seven immersive zones were introduced, including Mickey and Friends winter scenes, Toy Story, Zootopia, Stitch, Frozen, and a grand Disney Princess Castle. A dedicated attraction marked the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong Disneyland, featuring a five-metre inflatable Mickey in a limited-edition costume alongside a replica archway.
Festive privileges
The campaign was supported by a wide network of partners, including major Thai banks and credit card providers. Across participating Central locations, international shoppers spending THB 6,000 or more received a Good Goods Tote Bag as part of seasonal promotions, further enhancing the visitor experience during the festive period.
