DUBAI’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially completed the deployment of free Wi-Fi on all 259 intercity buses, in partnership with telecommunications provider e&.

This digital enhancement is set to benefit passengers travelling between Dubai and the emirates of Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, and Fujairah.

The complimentary Wi-Fi service enables passengers to remain connected throughout their journey via smartphones, tablets, or laptops. Whether managing work, browsing online content or staying in touch with family, commuters now have uninterrupted access to the internet while on the move.

Future enhancements

This rollout aligns with the UAE Digital Government Strategy and reinforces Dubai’s ongoing mission to be the world’s smartest and happiest city.

The RTA confirms the service will undergo continual evaluation with e& to ensure premium connectivity.

Plans are also underway to further extend these features to marine transport services across the city.
