Dubai travel alert: Emirates updates flight schedule amid unsettled weather
Global routes operating with varying frequencies and timings this week
DUBAI – Emirates has confirmed that flights to and from Dubai International Airport are continuing under a dynamic schedule, even as unstable weather conditions affect travel across the UAE between March 23 and 27.
Passengers are being urged to plan ahead, monitor updates and allow extra time to reach the airport due to rain, reduced visibility and slower road movement.
The airline has advised travellers to arrive at least two hours before departure and ensure their contact details are updated to receive real-time notifications on any delays or changes.
Long-haul routes
Despite operational adjustments, Emirates is maintaining long-haul connectivity across the Americas and Oceania. Key services include Dubai to Buenos Aires (EK247) departing at 08:05 and arriving at 21:05, and São Paulo (EK261) departing at 09:05.
North American routes remain active, including Toronto (EK241) at 03:15 and multiple daily New York services (EK201/203). San Francisco (EK225) departs at 08:00.
Flights to Australia and New Zealand continue, with Melbourne (EK406) at 10:00, Sydney (EK412) at 10:15 and Auckland (EK448) at 10:05, all arriving the following day.
Europe network
European operations continue with multiple daily departures. London Heathrow (EK001/003/005/007) sees several flights between 02:15 and 15:05, while Paris (EK071/073/075) operates three times daily.
Frankfurt (EK045/047), Amsterdam (EK145) and Madrid (EK141/143) maintain steady services, alongside daily flights to cities such as Vienna, Copenhagen, Dublin and Prague, with durations between seven and nine hours.
Asia routes
Asia-Pacific routes remain among the busiest in the Emirates network. Bangkok is served by up to four daily flights (EK370/372/374/384), while Singapore (EK314/352) operates twice daily. Kuala Lumpur (EK346) continues as a daily service.
Flights to China include Beijing (EK306) at 03:20 and Shanghai (EK302) at 03:10. Japan routes cover Tokyo Haneda and Narita (EK312/318), while Seoul (EK322) departs at 03:15.
Regional network
Regional and medium-haul services remain essential to the airline’s operations. African routes include Nairobi (EK719) at 10:30 and multiple daily Johannesburg flights (EK763/765/767), alongside Cape Town (EK770) at 09:10.
Middle East services continue with frequent departures to Jeddah (EK801/803/805) and Riyadh (EK815/817/819), while Amman (EK903) operates on a limited schedule.
South Asia
South Asia continues to see high-frequency operations. India routes include multiple daily flights to Delhi (EK510/512/514/516), Mumbai (EK500/502/504/506/508), Bengaluru (EK564/566/568) and Chennai (EK542/544/546).
Pakistan routes remain active with Karachi (EK600/602/606) operating three times daily, Lahore (EK622/624) twice daily, and Islamabad (EK612/614) also twice daily. Peshawar (EK636) operates daily, while Sialkot (EK618/620) has two daily services.
While the schedule remains extensive, Emirates has reiterated that operations may be adjusted in response to weather conditions, particularly as road access to the airport may be affected more than flight operations.
