Pakistani ambassador pays farewell call on UAE Interior undersecretary
Talks in Abu Dhabi centred on enhancing cooperation in policing and security affairs
ABU DHABI – Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, yesterday received Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the UAE, during a farewell call at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The visit reflected the depth of the longstanding relations between the two friendly countries and emphasised the importance of further strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly policing and security.
In his farewell meeting, the outgoing ambassador was warmly welcomed by Major General Al Khaili, who highlighted the distinguished and growing partnership between the UAE and Pakistan across multiple sectors. Discussions focused on avenues to enhance joint efforts in security and law enforcement, underscoring the commitment of both nations to bolstering bilateral ties even as Ambassador Tirmizi concluded his tenure.

Both parties reaffirmed their dedication to developing stronger institutional links between their security and policing bodies. The talks underscored the shared interests of the UAE and Pakistan in advancing cooperation in safeguarding their communities, reflecting the trust and goodwill underpinning their relations.
The meeting was attended by senior officers and officials from the Ministry of Interior, along with representatives from the Embassy of Pakistan in the UAE.
