DUBAI is set to witness a mesmerising night of spiritual music as the legendary Abida Parveen performs live at the Coca-Cola Arena on Sunday, 15 June 2025.
The Queen of Sufi Music returns to the UAE for a one-night-only concert presented by Milestone Events, promising a soul-stirring experience of poetic expression and divine sound.
Renowned for her transcendent voice and emotional depth, Abida Parveen’s performance is expected to draw fans from across the region. The show will begin at 8PM, with gates opening at 6PM. Tickets are available now via the Coca-Cola Arena website.
Who is Abida Parveen?
Born on 20 February 1954 in Larkana, Sindh, Pakistan, Abida Parveen is celebrated globally for her powerful renditions of Sufi poetry. Introduced to music by her father, Ustad Ghulam Haider, she later trained under the esteemed Ustad Salamat Ali Khan. She began her professional journey in the early 1970s, gaining early recognition with a Sindhi song on Radio Pakistan in 1973.
With a career spanning over 50 years, Parveen has become an ambassador of Sufi music, performing the verses of poets such as Bulleh Shah, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, Rumi and Kabir. Her musical mastery extends across languages including Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi, Arabic, and Persian. Her performances are characterised by spiritual intensity and a deep connection with the audience.

Abida Parveen has graced the UAE stage multiple times, each concert leaving a lasting impression on attendees. Most recently, she performed at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on 1 June 2024 as part of the Symphony of Stars concert alongside Atif Aslam and Bismil ki Mehfil, drawing over 10,000 fans.
In Dubai, her recent shows include the Sufiyana concert at Coca-Cola Arena on 25 May 2024 and another at the same venue on 9 December 2022. Earlier performances include the Dubai World Trade Centre in March 2020, Jumeirah Emirates Towers in 2016, and Crowne Plaza Hotel in 2006. Each event has seen overwhelming attendance, reaffirming her revered status in the region.
