UAE travel update for March 25: All you need to know
Airlines advise early arrival and confirmed bookings only
DUBAI – Travellers flying out of the UAE today are being urged to plan ahead and allow extra time for airport journeys, as unstable weather continues to impact operations across the country.
Airlines and airport authorities have issued coordinated advisories warning of delays caused by reduced visibility, rainfall and difficult driving conditions.
A fresh wave of rain moving in from Al Dhafra and the Arabian Gulf is expected to spread across most parts of the UAE, bringing heavy showers and possible hail in some areas. According to the National Centre of Meteorology, the country remains under an extended low-pressure system, with partly cloudy to overcast skies and convective cloud formation driving rainfall of varying intensity through the week.
Passengers travelling through Dubai International Airport and other major hubs are advised to check flight status, update contact details and avoid heading to the airport without confirmed bookings, as conditions remain fluid.

Sharjah Airport has advised all passengers to stay up to date on the latest flight information due to weather conditions that may affect some flight schedules. “We advise passengers to contact their airlines directly to verify the status of their flights before heading to the airport,” it said in a statement.

Etihad Airways
Etihad Airways is operating a limited commercial flight schedule between Abu Dhabi and a number of key destinations, following extensive safety and security assessments.
Passengers with existing bookings are being accommodated on available flights, while tickets remain open for sale through official channels. The airline has emphasised that travellers should not proceed to the airport unless they have been contacted directly or hold a confirmed booking.

All other scheduled commercial services to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended for now, with additional destinations to be added as conditions permit.
Guests holding tickets issued on or before February 28, 2026, for travel between February 28 and April 15 can rebook free of charge on Etihad-operated flights up to May 15, or request a refund.
Passengers are also advised to check flight status online, keep contact details updated and contact travel agents for bookings made through third parties. The airline noted that high call volumes may result in delays in customer service response times.
Emirates
Emirates has advised passengers travelling from Dubai between March 23 and 27 to plan their journeys carefully due to the risk of poor road visibility and slower traffic movement.

Customers are urged to arrive at least two hours before departure, check flight status before leaving for the airport and monitor email notifications for any changes or cancellations.
The airline continues to operate a flexible schedule, with adjustments made depending on weather conditions and operational requirements.

flydubai has cautioned that unstable weather conditions may affect both flight operations and passenger journeys to and from the airport.
Travellers are advised to fly only with confirmed bookings, arrive up to four hours before departure and verify baggage allowances and gate information in advance.
Flexible options remain available, including rebooking and refunds through the airline’s Manage Booking system.
Air Arabia
Air Arabia has warned that adverse weather may impact operations at multiple hubs, including Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah airports.

The airline continues to operate selected routes across Asia, Europe and Africa, with schedules subject to change.
