DUBAI – The inaugural edition of the Apex Games is set to bring together 1,200 athletes on 6 June at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The UAE-born mass participation event introduces a hybrid fitness competition designed to combine endurance running with functional strength challenges.

Ahead of the launch, DXB LIVE and CaB Sports have announced a strategic partnership with Technogym, which will serve as the Official Technical and Performance Partner.

Apex Games

The Apex Games marks a new addition to Dubai’s growing sports calendar, positioning itself as a large-scale competitive platform open to elite and amateur athletes.

The event is designed in the UAE by CaB Sports in collaboration with DXB LIVE, reflecting the city’s continued focus on expanding community sport participation.

Organisers have confirmed multiple race divisions, including solo, doubles and team formats, allowing broad participation across different fitness levels.

Format design

The competition follows a structured hybrid format featuring four running segments, each paired with three functional fitness stations. This setup is intended to test overall athletic capability, blending stamina, strength and agility within a single race structure.

The design also encourages repeat participation, as athletes can track performance progression across editions while engaging in a competitive yet community-driven environment.

Economic impact

Beyond the sporting challenge, Apex Games is expected to generate activity across multiple sectors including tourism, hospitality, logistics, media production and SME services. Organisers have highlighted its role in supporting Dubai’s broader sports economy and active lifestyle agenda, aligning with national objectives around public health and community engagement. The event is also positioned as part of the city’s strategy to diversify its experiential events portfolio.

From DXB LIVE’s perspective, the collaboration underscores Dubai’s ambition to strengthen its position as a global hub for major events. The organisation emphasised that new concepts like Apex Games enhance the diversity of the city’s calendar while supporting active lifestyles and international participation.

The first edition will take place with tickets already on sale, including a special discount for Eid pass holders. Registration is open for all categories via the official Apex Games platform, offering athletes across the region a new competitive arena ahead of the June debut.
