How hot will UAE weather get during the Eid Al Adha 2026 break?
Inland regions may see highs touching a scorching 48ºC
DUBAI – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set for a spell of intense summer weather during the Eid Al Adha 2026 long weekend, with temperatures forecast to climb as high as 48ºC in some parts of the country.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expects hot daytime conditions across inland regions and relatively hot weather over coastal areas and islands throughout the holiday period. Residents can also expect humidity, occasional fog and dusty conditions at times.
According to forecasts covering the period from Monday, May 25, to Sunday, May 31, weather conditions are expected to remain generally fair, with partly cloudy skies occasionally developing over eastern regions. While daytime temperatures continue to intensify, conditions are expected to turn more moderate overnight and during the early morning hours.
Temperature outlook
Maximum temperatures are forecast between 43ºC and 48ºC in inland regions, while coastal areas and islands are expected to record highs between 35ºC and 43ºC. Mountainous areas will remain comparatively cooler, with temperatures ranging from 28ºC to 35ºC.
For specific cities, temperatures on Monday are forecast to touch 45ºC in Liwa and 44ºC in Al Ain. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are expected to see daytime highs of around 41ºC, while Fujairah may remain slightly cooler at approximately 36ºC.
Fog chances
Humidity levels are expected to rise during late night and early morning hours across some coastal regions during the holiday week. Forecasters said this could increase the likelihood of fog or light mist formation, particularly on Monday and Friday.
Minimum temperatures are expected to range from 24ºC to 32ºC in coastal areas and islands, between 19ºC and 27ºC inland, and from 24ºC to 30ºC in mountainous areas.
Wind watch
Winds are forecast to shift from southeasterly to northwesterly directions and remain light to moderate in general. Speeds are expected to range between 10km/h and 25km/h, occasionally strengthening to around 35km/h and causing blowing dust in exposed areas.
Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea are expected to remain slight, while the NCM has advised the public to avoid direct exposure to sunlight during daytime hours as temperatures continue to rise across the country.
