UAE: Dubai-based MMI, a leading provider of Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) qualification in the UAE, has launched "The Academies" - a cutting-edge wine and bar training facility suite at its Dubai headquarters on Sheikh Zayed Road. This move aims to revolutionise hospitality standards through comprehensive education and hands-on training.

The Academies will offer a wide range of regionally tailored wine events, WSET certifications, and sommelier mentorship sessions and host the first-ever Court of Master Sommeliers exam in the Middle East.

MMI aims to deepen understanding and appreciation of beverage service through industry-focused masterclasses.

Seasoned sommeliers, including Stephen Towler, Wine Academy Manager, and Melina Aguirre Jaen, a Wine Trainer, lead the instruction.

Both are highly qualified with WSET certifications and sommelier expertise. The Academies will also showcase internationally acclaimed wineries, further solidifying MMI's role in shaping a world-class hospitality experience across its network.

The launch of The Academies also coincided with a visit from Miguel A Torres, President of Familia Torres, the world's top-ranked Most Admired Wine Brand in 2024, who participated in the inauguration. This underlines the global relevance and forward-thinking approach of The Academies.
