937 mosques ready as Dubai announces early Eid Al Adha prayer schedule
Children engagement initiative brings neighbourhood muezzins into religious observance
DUBAI – Eid Al Adha prayers will be held across 937 mosques in the emirate of Dubai at 5.45am on Wednesday, May 27, as authorities complete extensive preparations to accommodate worshippers.
The announcement has been made by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, which confirmed that all designated prayer locations are fully ready.
Residents across the emirate are expected to gather early in large numbers for one of the most significant religious occasions in the Islamic calendar.
Operational plan
Authorities have urged worshippers to arrive early and cooperate with organisers to ensure smooth movement and avoid congestion around mosques. A comprehensive operational plan has been activated across all locations to maintain safety, ease access, and support orderly entry and exit for congregants. Officials have also highlighted that updated mosque lists are available through official platforms for public guidance.

The department stated that preparations have been completed in line with an integrated operational framework designed to deliver a safe and comfortable environment for worshippers. Facilities and support services at mosques have been enhanced to meet high operational and safety standards. The arrangements reflect Dubai’s continued focus on efficient organisation of large-scale religious gatherings while ensuring accessibility and comfort for residents.
Community initiative
This year’s Eid prayers will feature participation from members of the “Mu’adhin Al Freej” initiative, who will lead the Eid takbeerat and calls to prayer across mosques. The initiative aims to strengthen children’s connection with religious practices and promote Emirati identity and Islamic values.
Authorities have encouraged parents to bring children along to experience the spiritual atmosphere and take part in the observance.
