Top envoy celebrates 50 years of UAE-Pakistan ties at Dubai dinner
Consulate pledges enhanced outreach and improved support services for expatriates
DUBAI – A welcome dinner held in Dubai by Vista Maritime Travel Tourism brought together Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Shafqat Ali Khan, members of the diplomatic mission, and a large gathering of the Pakistani community.
The event served as a platform to reinforce the enduring ties between UAE and Pakistan, while also highlighting the importance of diaspora engagement in strengthening bilateral relations.
Officials and community representatives used the occasion to reflect on shared priorities and continued cooperation between the two countries.

Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan expressed appreciation for the warm reception and described the interaction as an important opportunity to engage directly with the Pakistani community in the UAE. He reaffirmed that Pakistan and the UAE share a relationship spanning more than five decades, grounded in mutual trust, cooperation, and converging regional interests.
The ambassador highlighted the UAE’s leadership for its role in ensuring stability, prosperity, and continued development across diverse communities. He also reiterated that overseas Pakistanis are a valuable national asset, contributing significantly to both Pakistan and the UAE through their professional and economic activities.
Their responsible conduct and unity during challenging times were acknowledged as a testament to their commitment and resilience.

Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, welcomed the ambassador and reaffirmed the Consulate’s commitment to enhancing outreach to the Pakistani diaspora. He assured continued efforts to improve service delivery and strengthen engagement with community members across the Emirates.
The gathering was attended by diplomatic officers, including Dr Zafar Tahir Rizvi, Chief Executive Officer of Vista Maritime Travel Tourism, Fatima Khalid, and senior management representatives, along with a broad cross-section of Pakistani expatriates.
