DUBAI – Bollywood superstar Salman Khan turned 60 today, marking the milestone with a private yet high-profile celebration at his Panvel farmhouse near Mumbai.
The actor, one of Hindi cinema’s most recognisable faces, spent the day surrounded by close family members, longtime friends and select guests from the film and sports fraternity. Visuals from the celebration quickly made their way onto social media, offering fans a glimpse into the festivities.
The birthday gathering followed a tradition Salman Khan has maintained for years, choosing his Panvel farmhouse as the venue to celebrate away from public crowds. Despite the intimate setting, the occasion drew several prominent names.

Images and videos circulating online showed Salman Khan cutting multiple cakes during the evening. In one widely shared clip, he invited his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, to join him for the cake-cutting, while his brother Sohail Khan stood beside him. The gathering featured a relaxed atmosphere, with laughter, music and informal interactions among guests. Although largely kept private, the event was described by attendees as warm and celebratory.

Several well-known personalities from the film industry and beyond were spotted at the farmhouse. Among those in attendance were Karisma Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Genelia Deshmukh, Rakul Preet Singh, Huma Qureshi, Sangeeta Bijlani, Mika Singh, Maniesh Paul, Pragya Jaiswal and politician Zeeshan Siddique. Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni was also present, adding to the diverse guest list.
While the celebration remained largely behind closed doors, Salman Khan later stepped outside the farmhouse to greet fans and members of the media who had gathered nearby. He interacted with paparazzi, cut another cake, distributed slices and posed for photographs.
Tributes for Salman Khan poured in throughout the day from across Bollywood. Actress Kiara Advani shared a birthday message on her Instagram stories, posting a photograph of the actor along with warm wishes.
Katrina Kaif described him as a “superhuman” and wished him love and light, while Ajay Devgn referred to him as “sab ka bhai, sab ki jaan” in his message.
Bhagyashree recalled their long friendship dating back to Maine Pyar Kiya, and Rakul Preet Singh, Chunky Panday and others also shared greetings.
Speaking briefly on his birthday, Salman Khan addressed the milestone with characteristic ease, stating that turning 60 did not concern him. He said he felt more energetic now than in his earlier decades, citing a combination of experience, enthusiasm and strength as an advantage at this stage of life.
On the professional front, Salman Khan is set to appear in director Apoorva Lakhia’s upcoming film Battle of Galwan, based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers. The project marks another significant addition to his extensive filmography as he enters his seventh decade in the industry, continuing to remain active both on and off screen.
