DUBAI – Ras Al Khaimah’s transport sector has taken a significant digital leap with the launch of Uber services across the emirate.
The initiative follows a formal agreement between the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) and Uber, aimed at enhancing mobility options for residents, tourists and visitors. The move introduces a globally recognised ride-hailing platform into the local transport ecosystem, aligning with broader efforts to modernise infrastructure.
The agreement was signed at RAKTA headquarters by Director General Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi and Tala Nsouli, General Manager of Uber UAE, in the presence of senior officials. The collaboration enables users to book both taxis and limousines directly through the Uber app, with services available 24 hours a day.

Under the new system, passengers can request rides at the touch of a button, with access to reliable transport options across the emirate. The integration also introduces secure digital payment methods, offering a faster and more streamlined user experience compared to traditional booking systems.
